Quartet Integra receives the 76th Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists

クァルテット・インテグラ

We are pleased to announce that the string quartet Quartet Integra has received the 76th (fiscal year 2025) Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists in the field of Music.

The Art Encouragement Prizes are presented annually by the Agency for Cultural Affairs to individuals who have achieved outstanding results or opened up new horizons in various fields of the arts, both domestically and internationally. By awarding the Minister’s Prize and the Prize for New Artists, this initiative aims to encourage and promote artistic activities in Japan.

Quartet Integra was awarded the Prize for New Artists for their exceptionally tight ensemble and fresh interpretations. In addition to their brilliant performances of demanding modern works, they began a complete Beethoven cycle in 2025—the 10th anniversary of their formation—delivering intellectual and masterful performances. As a Japan-based ensemble, they are widely expected to play a leading role on the global stage in the years to come.
