The First Conductor from Kikai Island, Kagoshima Prefecture
Graduated from the Conducting Department of Tokyo College of Music and completed the graduate program in conducting at the same institution. Studied conducting under Junichi Hirokami and Yasuhiko Shiozawa. In 2015, he moved to Germany to further his studies. At the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts, he studied orchestral conducting under Professor Klaus Arp, conducting ensembles such as the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz and the Opera Plovdiv Symphony Orchestra.
From 2017, he based his activities at the Darmstadt Music Academy, where he also trained as a choral conductor under Linda Horowitz and Jan Schumacher. In 2018, he was selected as the conductor of the opera The Golden Pot composed by Wilhelm Petersen, in a production hosted by the Wilhelm Petersen Society in Germany, earning great acclaim.
He has appeared as a guest conductor with many major Japanese orchestras, including the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Gunma Symphony Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Pacific Philharmonia Tokyo, The Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo, Yokohama Sinfonietta, Aichi Chamber Orchestra, Chubu Philharmonic Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, and Kyushu Symphony Orchestra.
In 2023, he successfully led the first-ever orchestra concert in the history of his hometown, Kikai Island: Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa – Kikai Island Performance.
In recent years, he has continued to attract attention as a rising conductor of the next generation, with notable appearances including Classics in Tenjin with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Fantastic Orchestra Concert and Komatsu Spring Subscription Concert with Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa.
Currently, he serves as conductor of the Niigata City Junior Orchestra School at Ryutopia Niigata City Performing Arts Center, and as a part-time lecturer in conducting at Tokyo College of Music.
