Winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition 2015, Jiyoung Lim is one of the most promising violinists, hailing from all of the world. At the age of 20, she began launching her career internationally as a professional performer. She finished precollege program of Seoul National University of Arts and gifted education center of Seoul National Arts. Currently, she is a bachelor’s degree candidate of Seoul National University of Arts under the tutelage of professor Nam-Yun Kim.
Her award winning career includes Indianapolis International Violin Competition, ARD International Music Competition, Montreal International Music Competition, Osaka International Music Competition, International Violin Competition Henri Marteau, and the first prize from Eurasia International Competition. She was a soloist at the Tibor Varga International Music Festival, Indiana Jacobs School of Music, Ishikawa Music Academy, Great Mountains Music Festival and many other places all around the world including United States and many countries in Europe.

Jiyoung Lim made her first debut at the Kumho Young Artist Concert in Seoul, Korea and has performed with numerous orchestras including München Kammer Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Eat Cost Chamber Orchestra, Carmel Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal. Also, she has played with world leading musicians like Maxim Vengerov, Joel Smirnoff and Koichiro Harada. Recently, she was invited as a soloist at the Koreanisches Musikfest in Deutschland. Currently, she is playing Giuseppe Guadagnini which was made in 1794 under Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation’s support.
